Smallholder Support Manager, FSC Global Development

zoomAnnah AgashaAnnah AgashaAnnah Agasha is the Smallholder Support Manager for FSC Global Development, based in Bonn, Germany. She is mainly responsible for developing and implementing strategies in the FSC system that promote market access for smallholders, as well as developing projects for upscaling FSC certification for smallholders.

Over the past 10 years, Agasha has implemented various smallholder and community projects. Her previous work focused on the development of market-based incentive mechanisms (e.g. payments for ecosystem services, REDD+ and agro-enterprises) to support the management and conservation of both private and public forests in Uganda. The strategies involved working with the private sector, government agencies, smallholders and communities to develop marketing linkages, as well as working directly with farmers to promote biodiversity conservation in productive landscapes.

Agasha holds an MSc in Forestry from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from the Uganda Management Institute.
