zoomDominic is a social and economic specialist with extensive experience in the forestry industry. He has worked directly with the Forest Stewardship Council in the interpretation of the Principles 2 and 3. And played a key role in the stakeholder involvement and capacitation process for the development of Principles, Criteria, Indicators and Standards (PCI&S) for the South African National Forest Act regulations.

Dominic worked on the development of a manual for South African forest auditors and forest managers from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. He also contributed to the development of Best Operating Practices to guide the implementation of the PCI&S.

He conducted the first formal forest audit using the South African PCI&S, and has conducted more than 30 forest management audits for forest certification in South Africa and Mozambique. He has acted as a social advisor and a socio-economic impact advisor to forestry corporations, and worked in more than 23 countries worldwide as an economic development specialist, facilitator and strategic planner.
